Rage Sustainably

You can start raging sustainably with a few easy steps.  Nobody likes trash around so make sure to #CloseTheLid and #WalkTheExtraBlock when the trash is full. If you're going to smoke you're going to smoke, but #KeepYourButtOffTheBeach! When going from party to party, #BYOCup because who knows where that red solo cup has been. When late night grubbing #KnowWhereItGoes! Finally, need a way to kill those community service hours or to feel better when hungover? Volunteer at #AdoptABlock! Rage sustainably, and always drink responsibly.

Get Your Compost Picked Up or Volunteer with Surfrider

Composting is so easy in Isla Vista that you just have to sign up for the Surfrider Compost Collective "dirtriders" to take it from you. But it's so popular right now that there's a waiting list. Get on the waiting list now so your food scraps can be collected as the program expands.  Surfrider also partners with Adopt-A-Block to give you community service hours for picking up cigarette butts!

Participate with Student Environmental Affairs Board

Playing video games is fun....But admit it, sometimes you just want to get off the couch and do something impactful. Getting involved with Environmental Affairs Board, you learn how to make a difference. As the largest environmental group on the UCSB campus, EAB tackles issues related to energy, food, climate change, water policy and conservation, environmental justice, and more.  Go to the next meeting on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the GSA lounge to become one of the crew.
